Hannover Messe 2025 Recap
Early in April, we had the pleasure of attending the Hannover Messe 2025 show in Germany. With an eye-watering 4,000+ exhibitors and up to 200,000 attendees across 15+ halls, there was plenty to see and do. This leading industrial trade fair offers experts from a huge variety of industries the opportunity to get together, share their experience, discuss the hottest trends, and make connections. As always, it was fantastic to see new and old faces, and we wanted to take this opportunity to share some of the takeaways we had from this event.
Popular Topics from Hannover Messe 2025
Artificial Intelligence – A topic no one would be remotely surprised to see at any tech event around the world, AI was on the tip of every tongue in Germany this year. Nearly every organization was showcasing how they worked with AI, what AI tools they were leveraging/developing, or even just their thoughts on the topic.
Industrial Metaverse/Digitial Twins – This was an area we found deeply interesting to explore at this event, with the term “Industrial Metaverse” being somewhat novel. Digital twins offer opportunities for many industries, particularly in manufacturing, and the industrial metaverse concept centers around taking these advantages to the next level. Digital twins offer unparalleled opportunities in visualization, analysis, simulation, monitoring, operations, maintenance, lifecycle management, and much more. The industrial metaverse takes these concepts from a single factory to the entirety of a company's assets.
These developments magnify both the potential and challenges of digital twin technology, and Tech Soft 3D is excited to see how this continues to develop. For those interested in digital twins technology, we highly recommend exploring our CAD data translation and 3D web visualization toolkits.
Omniverse vs Unity – With the pervasive nature of digital twins and the industrial metaverse in the conversations in Germany this year, we were interested in the technology these companies were using. From our observations, NVIDIA’s Omniverse technology was a constant, being leveraged by a wide range of organizations across industries. Unity was a common alternative, but in our anecdotal experience, Omniverse seemed more pervasive.
